St. Paul's Lutheran School has so much to offer!  Here are just a few things that make St. Paul's a unique school in Fort Wayne:

  •  Commitment to the Christian FaithLutheran Symbol

Weekly chapel services with our pastors, daily religion classes, and teachers who are committed to Biblical teaching lend themselves to our mission:  to educate each child in a Christ-centered environment for a life of service to God and man.

  • Academic Excellence

St. Paul's has a long history of academic excellence!  We continue the tradition by providing a sound, well-rounded curriculum, a safe, Christian environment and caring and accomplished teachers.  All the while equipping our students for a lifelong service to God and man.

  • Computers and Technology

Technology is included as part of the school week, and reading instruction is individualized and tested through various computer programs.  Achievement testing is assessed in an interactive way in our computer lab, and all grade levels have a weekly computer applications class.  St. Paul's is embracing technology with plans to utilize a 1:1 technology program in the upper classes (6-8) for the 2013 - 2014 school year which will support our curriculum.  Teachers in the middle school grades will be utilizing Apple technology, including IPads and Apple TVs in their classrooms to enhance the learning experience.  In addition, parents have easy access to their child's classroom via Renweb - our Internet parent/faculty network.  You can communicate easily with your child's teacher and access recent test and homework scores as well as the school Handbook, calendars, announcements and documents.

  • Pre-Kindergarten Program

We are very excited to roll out the new Pre-Kindergarten program this year!  A significant amount of planning and work has gone into this new program and we are thrilled to grow our school to include 4-5 year olds not quite ready for Kindergarten.  Stephanie Mueller is the director and teacher of our new class.  Please contact her with any questions!

  • Fine Arts ProgramsSt.Pauls Play

We have many fine musicians on staff at St. Paul's which enable us to expose our students to beauty, truth and goodness.  Music Theory is taught at each grade level.  We offer Choristers (3rd and 4th grades) and Youth Choir (optional for 5th - 8th grades).  A strings program provides initial exposure to the violin for all 2nd graders and families may choose to take advantage of this through 8th grade. Band begins in 4th grade, under the leadership of Concordia High School's band department.  Families can enjoy seeing the work of the students during the Spring Concert.

In the fine arts department, we have two art teachers.  This year we welcome professional artist and author, Joni Walker to our staff!  Art classes are taught once a week, every week, to all grade levels.  We also participate in the annual Lutheran Schools Art & Music Festival held at Concordia Lutheran High School.  In addition to the choral, instrumental, classroom music, and art instruction as part of our regularly scheduled curriculum, St. Paul's students also participate in full length plays and/or musicals, seasonal concerts, grade-specific productions/presentations,  art & music festivals, as well as community productions (as hosted by the Embassy Theater and/or Performing Arts Center).  Kindergarten class presents a musical each fall.  This year the entire school will be starring in the spring production of the musical Once Upon A Dream.  In the fall students participate in a unique reading experience with the One Book, One School program.

  • Athletic Programs

JV boys Champs 2015 JV tourneySt. Paul's participates in an athletic association of 19 area Lutheran Schools with sports options for 5th - 8th grades.  We offer boys' soccer, basketball, wrestling and track.  Girls' sports include soccer, basketball, volleyball and track.  St. Paul's boys basketball has had the opportunity to represent the state of Indiana two years in row at the National Lutheran Schools Boys Basketball tournament.  We follow the Standards and Sportsmanship mission statement of our school which teaches Respect for the Ministry of the School, Respect for Authority (coaches, officials), and Respect of Others (players, parents, fans).

  •  Safe Learning Environment

A safe and secure environment for our children is top priority!  All school entrances are locked, with a video camera at the main entrance.  All visitors must be "buzzed in" by the office staff and check in at the school office.  Visitors who are not recognized by our school staff are required to present photo ID to school office personnel.

  • Supportive Community

St. Paul's families, staff and faculty are committed to our students and our school which is clearly shown in the support, fundraising and volunteerism seen year after year.  The Parent Teacher League (PTL) is an active parent group that strives to enhance the learning experience at St. Paul's.  From hosting various social events throughout the year to sponsoring the One Book, One School program and producing the annual Dinner Auction, PTL provides parents countless opportunities to volunteer and get involved in the St. Paul's family.  Our athletic programs provide other volunteer opportunities through coaching, bookkeeping, assistance at home games, carpooling to away games, Booster Club and more.  Each class has room parents that provide assistance to the teachers during holiday parties, field trips and various events throughout the year.  St. Paul's encourages parents to get involved in their children's education!  We look forward to having you join our St. Paul's family!

  • Continued Growth

St. Paul's Lutheran Church and School is constantly looking to grow!  In addition to the upgrades in technology and the addition of the Pre-K program this year, we are entering the second phase of Enhancing Our Heritage Campaign.  As you may have seen from the work being done on the Barr Street parking lot, we are also making necessary improvements and exciting upgrades to the St. Paul's campus!  Future plans include expanding the playground behind the school.  We thank God for the continued opportunities to grow!
